I Miss You Sow Much

Our granddaughter came over to spend the night, and she wanted to make a card for her grandma in Florida.  This is what she came up with.

The inside says I Miss You Sow Much!  I think she had a fun time playing with my supplies, and she really did a fine job.  Beautifully done, Jovie!

Fuchsia & Hummingbird

I decided to play with another set that I haven't used before.  This one is called Humming Along and is from PTI.  I love the fuchsia flowers and the hummingbird.  I think this is the first year in many that I haven't had a fuchsia hanging basket by our front door.  This is a gorgeous plant.

I started with a Spellbinders die called Fancy Lattice.  This is another item that I haven't used much because I always had such a hard time getting it to cut with my Cuttlebug, but now that I have a Big Shot, it cut on the first run through.  The little humming bird is so sweet and I added some Wink of Stella to his wings and under belly for some added sparkle.

Mod Squad - Mark It, Stamp It

This card will be entered into the Mark It, Stamp It Challenge at Mod Squad.

This was a fun challenge and a technique that I haven't done for a long time.  I chose a GKD set called Tropical Blooms.  I colored the flowers with my Zig Clean Color Markers and stamped onto white card stock.  I love making background paper.  I used some circle dies for the sentiment and then fussy cut two of the flowers and leaves.

Thanks so much for coming by to look.  Your kind comments are always appreciated.

Happy Birthday STVKC#35

This card is being entered into a challenge at Stamp TV - STVKC#35.

The requirement for this challenge is to use three pattern papers.  The pattern papers I chose are from the GKD Bold & Blooming pack.  I adore this paper!  The colors and patterns are beautiful.  Next, I chose one of the images from the new Stamp TV Kit Sentimental Summer - Your Own Kind of Beautiful.  I stamped the image with Versa Mark ink and embossed it with GKD Fine Detail White Embossing Powder on Ranger Distress Water Color Paper.  I colored it with Zig Clean Color Markers.

Happy Birthday to You

I had a little time to play today in my newly cleaned craft room.  Here's what I made.

This is a beautiful set from the Gina K. Designs Stamp TV Kit Sentimental Summer. The set is called Dazzling Dahlia.  The background paper is toner paper from Heidi Swapp. Random dots were foiled with GKD Fancy Foils in Passionate Pink.

May Your Day Bubble Over With Fun

This is a My Favorite Things set called Soda Pop.  I am always looking for something I can use for the men in my life.  This is a fun one!

For the background I used Distress Oxide inks in Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade & Peeled Paint.  Then I sprinkled water over the top.  I love the fun soda bottles and the bottle caps I used on the inside.

Ahoy, Mate!

When we decided to go to Fort Myers Beach, Florida for vacation, I was excited for two reasons. The first being, I love the beach and we were going with our daughter and her family......always a fun time.  The second being, I knew we would be able to stop by the My Favorite Things store on the way home.  I love that store!  Here are two the sets I bought.

The Party Like A Pirate set is adorable and with five grandsons I knew it would get a lot of use.  I, also, bought the Beach Scene Builder set.  It makes it so easy to come up with a cute beach scene.
